Mixed Gemstone Rainbow Necklace

A dainty Sapphire necklace features finest quality faceted rondelles in vibrant shades of the rainbow and a central section of sparkling pink Sapphire & Rhodolite Garnet droplets. Scattered amongst the Sapphires are Tanzanite ovals, Tourmaline squares & Sapphire droplets, each separated by an array of spacer beads in 14k gold-fill & gold vermeil (sterling silver dipped in 24k gold).

The necklace fastens with a 14k gold-filled Lobster clasp and extender chain that is finished with a clear Sapphire droplet, wire wrapped in 14k gold-fill.

WHAT IS GOLD FILL?
Please do not confuse gold fill with gold plate! Gold filled has literally 100% more gold than gold plate. Gold filled (or rolled gold) comprises a solid layer of gold (14k) permanently bonded to a base metal. It is very hard wearing and under normal wear the gold will not peel or flake, unlike gold plate, and so it is a more economical alternative to pure gold.
