Opals are the lightest and most luxurious option in wearable rainbows. These necklaces are made with scrupulously selected Ethiopian opals, hand-dyed silk cording, and 14/20 Gold-Fill Findings. Pleas know that while this necklace is great for daily wear, it’s meant to be worn gently since Ethiopian Opals are a soft stone. Each necklace is knotted on premium-quality silk thread. I dye all cord myself in micro batches to control quality. I use a proprietary dye process that gives color-fast, vibrant colors and enhanced silk durability. Please read the full description for details on care and keeping.

The beads are graduated from right around 3.5mm – 5mm. Since each strand is a little different, there may be some variation.

Care and Keeping:
This item is made from natural Ethiopian Opals and gold-filled findings. Take care of it like the precious piece of wearable art that it is. Opals are a soft, porous stone and silk is an natural material that will show wear over time. To keep this necklace looking great and intact, it must be kept away from and out of harsh or chemical-ly environments. Do NOT take it for a shower, swim, sweat session or sauna (literal or metaphorical). Like pearls, opals should go on *after* any cosmetics, perfume, lotions, hair potions, etc. and should be the first thing to come off when you hunker down to get comfy. To clean, wipe with a soft slightly damp cloth. Store it safely – shoved in pocket or purse doesn’t count! Soft stones and silk cord like their rest, too, so be sure to take them off before bed.
