This striking asymmetric necklace has to be seen (and worn) to be fully appreciated. It features two of nature’s most stunning and unusual golden crystals, combined in a sparkling two strand confection.

The first is natural golden rutilated quartz (a.k.a.”Cupid’s Arrows” or “Hair of the Angels”), which has fine subtle golden or reddish crystalline needles contained within the quartz host stone. While visible on close inspection, as an ensemble they cast off a golden shimmer and glow as you move.

The second featured crystal is pyrite (a.k.a. “Fool’s Gold”), which appears in two forms in this necklace: glinting raw crystal points and lustrous druzy spheres, whose metallic surface sparkles from the fine coating of crystals which have formed on their surface and the occasional glimpses of the crystalline geode within.

The structure of the necklace shows off the dramatic differences between the two crystals to perfection.

Down one side of the necklace march four large softly faceted golden rutilated quartz beads, strikingly framed by groupings of three large spiky pyrite crystal points. From the base emerge two longer strands, each with a different combination of quartz and pyrite.

A pleasing asymmetric balance is formed as the visual weight of the shorter “half” counterbalances that of the longer double strands.

For emphasis and to add to the glitter, each component crystal is separated from the next by tiny gold faceted barrels bracketed by sparkling gold wheels. Four smaller druzy beads complete the ends of the necklace, which culminate with an easy-to-fasten artisanal bronze toggle clasp.

This is a dramatically unique and flamboyant necklace that will raise your spirits every time you wear it. Its glimmer and sparks will ignite the potential of every outfit you pair it with, as, at the same time, the internal forces of the crystals will ground you from within.
